DDM Congratulates the Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia on Its 55th Anniversary

The Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia (YBAM) has just marked its 55th anniversary. On June 7, on behalf of Dharma Drum Mountain Abbot President Venerable Guo Huei (果暉法師), Venerable Chang Xian (常獻法師), acting director of the Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Centre Malaysia, attended the association's grand anniversary celebration.

During the ceremony, Venerable Chang Xian presented a meaningful congratulatory gift on behalf of the Abbot President — a replica of a calligraphy work of Master Sheng Yen "the power of great aspiration" — as a memento to YBAM President Yong Kuei Yoong (楊桂榮). The gift symbolizes the profound Dharma connection between the two Buddhist organizations and commemorates a historic moment of transmission and blessings.

Venerable Chang Xian was accompanied by Ms. Tai Shu-Yuan (戴淑媛), Chairperson of the DDM Association of Dharma Supporters in Malaysia, and Deputy Chairperson Mr. Cheng Mei-Chiang (鄭美強) to participate in the anniversary celebration. The three representatives took a commemorative photo at the entrance of the venue, jointly witnessing YBAM's 55 years of Dharma propagation and offering their heartfelt blessings.
