Representative Phoebe Yeh Visits DDM Buddhist Centre Malaysia for the first time to Experience Tea Meditation

On June 12 at 10:30 a.m., Phoebe Yeh (葉非比), Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, together with Chou Shih-Pi (周士弼), Director of the Taiwan Visitors Association's Kuala Lumpur Office, and two accompanying staff members, made a special visit to Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) Buddhist Centre Malaysia. The delegation was warmly received by Venerable Chang Xian (常獻法師), acting director of the DDM Buddhist Centre Malaysia.
This was Representative Yeh's first visit to the DDM Buddhist Centre Malaysia since assuming her post as Representative to Malaysia in 2023. The primary purpose of the visit was to better understand DDM's Dharma propagation activities in Malaysia. As part of the itinerary, the center specially arranged a meaningful Tea Meditation session. Immersed in a calm and serene atmosphere, the delegation followed the guided practice to settle their bodies and minds, simultaneously savoring the taste of tea while experiencing the tranquility of the present moment.
Representative Yeh also mentioned that she had previously visited the DDM World Center for Buddhist Education in Taiwan for official duties and was deeply impressed by the center's overall planning and solemn atmosphere. She expressed great admiration for DDM founder Master Sheng Yen, who, despite battling illness, remained dedicated to Dharma propagation in the world, interfaith exchange, and the promotion of religious peace. Representative Yeh indicated that the visit provided a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of DDM's efforts in promoting Spiritual Environmental Protection and spreading the Dharma in Malaysia.
Representative Yeh emphasized that DDM's core ideal of "Spiritual Environmental Protection" — aimed at purifying people's minds and society — is especially needed by the overseas Taiwanese community and business leaders residing in Malaysia. She stated that she will actively promote DDM's Spiritual Environmental Protection programs to the Taiwanese community in Malaysia, hoping that more people can benefit from them.
