Rediscover Yourself — Registration Open for Dharma Drum Mountain’s Awakening Camp

Are you constantly chasing after a busy life, day and night without rest? Give yourself some time for deep reflection and regain a pure way of living. Dharma Drum Sangha University will hold the 23rd Awakening Camp from February 1 to February 8, 2026, at the Dharma Drum Mountain World Center for Buddhist Education. Centered on the theme of returning to one's original face, the camp will guide young participants to rediscover themselves and find the true "direction of the mind" in their lives.

Integrating Buddhist chanting, meditation, and Buddhist precepts into its curriculum, the camp assigns participating youth a new Dharma name, and they will follow the daily routine of monastics to experience monastic life firsthand.
"The way one interprets something can vary so greatly—this was an important breakthrough for me." said Yan-Yue (演月), a participant of the 22nd camp. After attending, she learned how to relax, allowing herself to calm down from constant tension.

"Thanks to this week of practicing the precepts, I returned to a pure lifestyle. By staying away from online short videos and binge-watching, I had more time to care for myself, maintain mindfulness, and let my body and mind become calmer and more relaxed.”
Participant Kuan-Shao (寬紹) also shared his reflections after the camp, explaining how practicing the precepts changed him, helping him let go of laziness and cultivate diligence.

Yan-Xi (演曦), who came all the way from Malaysia, fondly recalled the warmth and care he received from the monastics and volunteers, saying that it truly felt like returning home. "Every encounter is unique and precious—it naturally gives rise to boundless gratitude." He hopes to bring this warmth and care into his daily life in the future, thus allowing more people to feel the power of goodness.

Dharma Drum Sangha University sincerely welcomes young people who are interested in experiencing and learning about monastic life to participate in the 23rd Awakening Camp. For detailed registration and event information, please refer to the following website: (
