Cundī Bodhisattva is one of the manifestations of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva.
Out of compassion for sentient beings who aspire for peace and well-being in this present life, she provides a skillful and expedient means in accordance with their faculties and dispositions—the Cundī Dhāraṇī.
On the long path of the bodhisattva,
when sudden misfortunes or obstacles arise,
one who upholds and recites the Cundī Dhāraṇī with faith and sincere devotion,
can embrace all wholesome dharmas and gather immeasurable merit.
By using mantra recitation to support one's practice—
upholding the precepts, cultivating concentration, and developing wisdom—
may all aspirations be fulfilled and all accumulated merits be dedicated toward the unsurpassed path to Buddhahood.
